We’re putting our best foot forward again for our Inform Team Challenge, 2019: A Walk in the Park this September.

Seventeen miles through six London parks in (hopefully!) six hours – all to raise money for Northern Lights Children’s Charity. We’ll walk through Regent’s Park, Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, Green Park, St James’ Park and Victoria Embankment Gardens.

Our team is a mixed bunch from across the UK – some are fit and healthy, some are limited by health conditions. We always pull together as a team though. And partly because we share a pride in our colleague, Karen Jones, who’s walking with us.

Karen is Chairperson and a founder of Northern Lights Children’s Charity. This amazing charity has been supporting young people and their families since 1987. Karen was awarded an MBE in the Queen’s New Year honours in 2018 for services to children with life-limiting illnesses. Her close involvement makes our challenge extra special.

About the Northern Lights Children’s Charity

Northern Lights Children’s Charity takes children, aged six to 11, with life-limiting illnesses to Lapland. They share a very special holiday to meet Father Christmas. Medical staff and social workers nominate children who are most in need or likely to benefit.

This amazing experience gives children a positive goal to look forward to, a break from their treatment. Importantly, it’s an escape from being seen as sick. The holiday helps them to grow in confidence, rebuild their self-esteem and social skills, and reduce their anxiety. After the holiday, the children are more independent and eager to take part in other activities.

Our team is excited to get together and help some deserving children to have a memorable and life-changing Christmas experience.

If can support us and give a child this amazing experience, please donate on our sponsorship page.
