Dear friends, clients, colleagues and peers,
We are One!
What a whirlwind of a year it’s been for us; one year ago today we incorporated ‘The Inform Team’. We started our business wanting to focus on ‘interesting work’, taking a consultative approach for our clients who are embarking on technology change and are pleased that we have managed to achieve that. Some of the exciting programmes we have delivered so far include:
- A 15,000 global user migration to Microsoft Lync, where our remit has been to establish a collaborative working culture among users and contribute to a targeted 10% reduction on travel.
- A 7,000 user desktop refresh programme, comprising a comprehensive training and communication programme.
- A change and communication programme related to a significant staff re-organisation.
This year we want to update you on a regular basis with Industry News and Views so our first issue focusses on Big Data, widely recognised as one of 2014’s ‘hot topics’.
It is officially the era of data driven decision making! Companies who have a handle on their data can analyse it to guide decisions, resulting in productivity gains, sales and revenue with the Harvard Business Review paper, “Big Data: The Management Revolution” claiming “Companies that classified themselves as being data-driven decision makers were 5% more productive and 6% more profitable”.
We believe that the big data theme can be applied to Learning and Development as it has the potential to change the way organizations manage their workforce; in particular, how they recruit, retain, and develop top talent.
